Research Accomplishments:

Developed the protocol for the production of biofilmed seeds of bhendi, chilli and onion for the effective delivery of plant growth promoting bacterial strains through seeds instaed of conventional biofertilizer application methods.

  1. Arka Sahishnu – A bacterial formulation for the alleviation of deficit irrigation stress effects in plants (as PI)
  2. Arka Growing System of Vertical Gardens for Foliage Plants – A low cost system for the vertical gardening of foliage plants (as Co-PI)
  3. Technology for the mass production of a soil-less AM fungal inoculum has been developed and an Indian  patent (No.342299) has been granted for the same  (As Co-PI)
  4. Arka Sasya Poshaka Rasa (nutrient solution) for use in soilless cultivation of vegetables on fermented cocopeat ( As Co-PI). This has been released at the institute level by the Varietal and Technology Identification Committee of ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru (As Co-PI) during 2020
  5. Arka Fermented Cocopeat technology for the production of fermented coco-peat for horticulture. This has been released at the institute level by the Varietal and Technology Identification Committee of ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru as during 2011 (As PI)
  6. Arka Microbial Consortium – A NPK biofertilizer consortium. This has been released at the institute level by the Varietal and Technology Identification Committee of ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru as Arka Microbial Consortium during 2011 (As Co-PI)
  7. Arka  Actino-Plus an exclusive Actinobacterial formulation for plant growth promotion and health management (As Co-PI) This has been released at the institute level by the Varietal and Technology Identification Committee of ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru during 2015
  8. Talc based bio-pesticidal formulation of the bacterium Bacillus cereus strain WGPSB–2 (MTCC 7182) for white grub control. The same has been cleared in the biosafety trials by the Indian Institute of Toxicological Research, Lucknow (previously ITRC. A MoU was signed with the National Research and Development Corporation (NRDC), New Delhi for the commercialization of the same (As lead nnovator )
