Research Accomplishments: 

(During the Period of 2019-2023)

Effect of zinc fertilization on zinc fractions in soils and their contribution towards availability and uptake by different vegetable based cropping systems (Tomato- French bean- Cucumber; Chilli- Ragi- Amaranthus; and Okra- Onion- Bottle gourd) were studied and zinc fertilization was standardized. Effect of different organic formulations (AMC and Jeevamrutha) on teasle gourd growth, yield, and nutrient uptake was studied. At present, working on assessment of nutrient requirement of avocado and integrated nutrient management (INM) aspects of Coorg mandarin.

Varieties / Technologies Developed: 

 

  1. Pine oleoresin coated slow release urea was developed and its efficacy was compared with neem coated urea and normal urea (Associate)
  2. GIS based soil fertility maps for tribal areas (Jhabua, Alirajpur and Dhar districts) of Madhya Pradesh were prepared (Developer)
  3. Standard reference clay soil for heavy metal analysis was prepared and used as control check during analysis (Developer)
  4. A new soil quality assessment method was developed for tribal areas of MP (Developer)
  5. Carbon sequestration potential of croplands through phytoliths was estimated (Developer)
  6. Delineation of critical limits of heavy metals for major soils of India was established (Co-Developer)
  7. Remediation of metal contaminated soils using biochar (Associate)
  8. Database on heavy metal pollution and risk assessment in sewage water irrigated areas of Bhopal and tannery effluent irrigated areas of Kanpur was prepared (Co-Developer)
  9. Developed a protocol for resilience of degraded Vertisol (Co-Developer)  
  10. Involved in development of an avocado variety: Arka Coorg Ravi (Associate).
