National Horticulutre Fair 2021 - Day Five

The day five of the National Horticulture Fair (NHF2021) started with the technical session for the Zone – X (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu) in which all the KVKs of the ATARI zone participated in virtual mode via internet. During the session, Shri. T. Malakondiah from Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh was conferred with Best Farmer Award for successfully controlling bacterial blight disease in pomegranate using Arka Microbial Consortium and Arka Actino Plus. The day also witnessed the dignitaries from Jharkhand State, Shri. Varun Ranjan Director, Horticulture, Jharkhand State, who expressed his desire to work in collaboration with ICAR-IIHR for promoting horticulture in the State of Jharkhand. 

The Session II was the valedictory session for which Shri. S R Vishwanath, Hon. MLA, Yelahanka constituency was the Chief Guest. The dignitaries on the dais were Dr V. Venkatasubramanian, Director ICAR – ATARI Bengaluru and Dr. Rajendra Prasad. Vice Chancellor, UAS, Bangalore along with the Dr. M.R. Dinesh, Director, ICAR-IIHR, Dr. M.V. Dhananjaya, Org. Secretary, NHF2021, Dr. K.K. Upreti, Chairman Virtual Committee, Dr. B. Narayanaswamy, Chairman, Media & Publicity. Dr. Vikaramadity Pandey, ADG (Hort. I), ICAR, New Delhi joined the function in virtual mode. During the valedictory five farmers were felicitated for the use of best practices and technologies of ICAR-IIHR on their farms, and three MOUs were exchanged with entrepreneur.
