Research Accomplishments: 

(During the Period of 2019-2023)

Has been working on in-vitro regeneration, micropropogation, embryo rescue transformation and molecular marker applications in horticultural crops. Worked on  in-vitro somatic embryogenesis in mango, in-vitro embryo recue in grapes, papaya and tomato, micro propogation of intergeneric hybrids in papaya, papata sex determination using molecular markers. validated molecular markers for powdery mildew and black spot resistance in roses, YMV resistance and rust resistance in frenchbean, powdery mildew resistance in garden peas, markers related to poluembryony in mango. currently working on markers related to  bitterness and rind thickness in pomello, flower colur in gladiolus and tuberose and genome editing for mildew resistance in grapes and anthraknose resistance in chillies.

Varieties / Technologies Developed: 

in-vitro hybrid embryo rescue in grapes, papaya and tomato. Micropropogation of Intergeneric hybrids in papaya. Molecular markers linked to sex in papaya.
