Central Horticultural Experiment Station, ICAR-IIHR Bhubaneswar Organized “Interaction meet on Climate Resilient Technologies in Horticulture on 28/09/2021

Central Horticultural Experiment Station, ICAR-IIHR Bhubaneswar organized a Mass Campaign for Large-scale Use of Climate Resilient Technologies and Methods under the Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav programme on September 28, 2021 at its campus. A total of 65 participants including farmers from Khordha, Puri, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Boudh, Mayurbhanja and students etc attended the programme and benefitted.

The programme started with the initial remarks on importance of climate resilient technologies by Dr G C Acharya, Head, CHES, IIHR followed by the talk on climate resilient technologies by Prof Arun Ku Das, Ex-Head, Division of Fruit Science, OUAT. These presentations were followed by the telecast of interaction programme of Hon’ble Prime Minister.

An interaction session was arranged during the programme during which the queries of the farmers were answered by scientists of the Institute. This session was chaired by Prof Arun Ku Das, an co-chaired by Dr G C Acharya. Dr P Sinivas, Principal Scientist, Dr Kundan Kishore, Principal Scientist; Dr Deepa Samant, Scientist; and Dr Satyapriya Singh, Scientist participated as resources persons.
