Identification of salt tolerance in acid lime variety Tenali (Balaji).

Growth is vigorous at 2.5 dSm-1 and minimum reduction at 5.0 dSm-1.Yields reduction at 5.0 dSm-1 was about 25% whereas in Gudur it was 36.2% and in Local variety it was 44.5 %.Number of fruits and fruit weight is more compared to other two varieties. Salinity threshold value is higher (4.6 dSm-1) compared to other two varieties. The activity of H2O2 detoxifying enzyme catalase increased by 9 fold in 5.0 dSm-1 stressed  Tenali where as it was lower in Gudur variety.
