Spray Streptocycline (0.3g/l) + Copper oxychloride (3.0g/l) 2-3 times at 15 days interval (or) 2-3 sprays of Bacterinol 100 (1.0g/l) + Copper oxychloride 93.-g/l) at 15 days interval. Oily spot disease is very severe in pomegranate. This disease is noticed on leaf, stem and on fruits. On fruits it is sever with spots and cracks. What has to be done to control this disease? Pluck all the affected fruits and burn them away from the main field. Give 2-3 sprays of Streptocycline or Bacterinol –100 @ 0.3g/l + Copper oxychloride @ 3g/l at ten day interval. If the plants are severely affected, make deep pruning apply COC 0.3% or Bordeaux mixture 1% Follow the above schedule when the leaves are matured. While pruning, care must be taken not to carry the disease to the healthy plants with contaminated secature. The secature after each pruning can be sterilized with 1% Sodium hypochlorite solution.
