• I have been undertaking research on various aspects of computer applications in horticultural crops under research projects funded both from the institute and external sources. The primary agenda of my research is to develop software, Databases and web application for use by all stake holders involved with Horticultural crops including Researchers, Plant breeders and farmers, traders and producers. • Developed Software for Soil Leaf analysis, Horticultural Data Analysis and Biometrical methods. • Developed websites for NRC for Onion and Garlic, Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (under NAIP). • Developing Database on Horticultural crops and Bioinformatics applications. • I was briefly associated with the International tomato genome sequencing team, under NAIP-HRD program at Cornell University, New York state, USA, the lead partner of the Global Tomato Genome Consortium. The team recently decoded the Tomato genome and published the same in "Nature".
