As a part of Swachhta Campaign from 2nd – 31st October, 2021 and to commomerate 152nd Birth Anniverrsary of Mahatma Gandhiji, ICAR- Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, organized a guest lecture on the topic “Gandhian Philosophy and Science” by Novelist and professor, Dr. K. N Ganeshaiah on 8th October, 2021 at 2.00 PM both online and offline mode. This program started with a welcome and brief introduction of the speaker by Mrs. Jayanthi Mala B R, Scientist and Nodal officer, Special Swachhta Campaign. The speaker shared his wisdom on Gandhian philosophy connecting with the biological evolution. Dr. B.N S Murthy, Director, ICAR-IIHR gave brief remarks on the Swachhta Campaign and today’s lecture. The chief guest was honored by The Director, ICAR-IIHR. Finally, the programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs. Jayanthi Mala, Nodal Officer, Special Swachhta Campaign.
The guest lecture was attended by 120 participants online and 100 participants offline. A total of 220 participants attended the guest lecture. The covid protocols were followed during the offline mode.
