On 20th November, 2020, pledge was taken by all the staff members including ad hoc staff at 11.00 am. On 25th November 2020, a debate competition was organised on Communal Harmony and National Integration as part of the celebration of Quami Ekta Week. Mrs. A. Behera AAO and Nodal officer, Staff welfare welcomed all the participants and staff members present and introduced the topic of debate. Several staff likes Sri A.K. Barik, Sri B C Patra, Sri Biswanatha Paikray, Sri Manoj Pattanaik, Smt .Suchitra Behera, Sri Ashok Durga, Sri Abhra Ghosh, Sri Purna Chandra Majhi, Ms. Minakshi Panda participated in the Debate competition and shared their views. All were of the opinion that we shall never resort to violence and will continue to endeavour towards settlement of all differences and disputes relating to religion, language, region by constitutional means. Dr.Kundan Kishore and Dr. G Sangeetha judged the debate and unanimously awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes and certificates to Ashok Kumar Durga, Suchitra Behera and Manoj Kumar Pattnaik respectively. Scientists Dr. P. Srinivas, Dr.Kundan Kishore and Dr. G Sangeetha and Dr. Meenu Kumari also shared their views on communal harmony and national integration and associated activities on the theme of the Quami Ekta Week.
Dr. G.C. Acharya, Head I/C addressed all the participants and present staff members and explained the meaning, significance and the importance of the Quami Ekta Week.
A brief cultural program i.e. recitation of patriotic song Sare Jahan se achha Hindustan hamara was also organized by the staff of this station. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Ashok Kumar Durga, Member-Secretary of Staff Welfare Committee.
